About
A bit about myself.
My name is Mary Cox and I’m a traditionally trained graphic and industrial designer. I truly find joy in creating design that affects the user in a positive way. I’m constantly learning, keeping stride with industry standards. I’ve developed a special interest in Web Development and User Experience, taking courses to better my understanding of these subjects. UX feels especially natural for me, as many of the design principles and concepts I practice every day are transferable to UX.
Continuing education has expanded my design capabilities, allowing me to apply what I learn to create better solutions for the user.
What is Moxy?
I created my brand, MoxyWorks, for my freelance design business. (Moxy = Mary Cox…with conviction).
Who am I?
I love a good challenge. I’m extremely curious…I NEED to know. I love to discover new things – I’m up for a road trip anytime! I have 7 siblings and we get along great! I wear child-size gloves. I love peanut butter and crunchy food, but not crunchy peanut butter. I’m very detail oriented and will notice your haircut or new glasses. “Form follows function” is a design principle I feel strongly about. I’m flexible and easy-going, but I will fight for what I believe in. I love a good mystery and playing detective. Reading, history, autobiographies and documentaries are some of my favorite things.
